Hi folks,
This one keeps me thinking now and then, whether to return to blogging or not. As I failed to continue my 1K blog Marathon years ago, and my focus went on different places, it seems hard to get back on track. But after giving some time, after gulping one cup of coffee and playing Sirius by The Alan Parsons Project for one hour today, I made up my mind!
After a break and a long hiatus, I’m picking up where I left off, Day 67 – and I’m eager to continue this journey with renewed enthusiasm.
You ask me why?
If I try to restart from Day 1, it feels like hitting the reset button, going back to square one – but continuing from Day 68 allows me to build on my past writings. It may seem a slap on the face, but yeah, I failed, but I will continue to find success.
My Past Progress
• Consistent Blogging: Before the break, I completed 67 blog posts, which means 67 days or more than 2 months, covering a diverse range of topics, from technology insights to personal reflections.
• Engaged Audience: I’ve developed a solid readership (did I?) and received valuable feedback (did I?) that has enriched my blogging journey (did I?).
• Skills Development: Throughout the 67 days of blogging, daily, I’ve improved my writing, content creation, and time management skills.
What are my Plans, you ask?
• Fresh new content: I want to impart my new learnings to my blog.
• Consistency: I’m committed (yeah right) to resuming my blogging routine with renewed focus and dedication, aiming to deliver valuable and engaging content.
• Idea dump: This will be my second brain.
A little update from me
Career Progress
I’m currently a Senior Web Developer at Productly.dev, a position I’ve held since June 2023. In this role, I learned web development using the No-Code approach, using No-Code technologies like Weweb, Xano and Dittofy.
When I started blogging back in 2020, I was an App Developer / RPA Developer at Yoonet. After that, I jumped from one company to another, from being a Data Engineering Sr. Analyst at Accenture, to a Full Stack Web Developer at Temple and Webster, and another Full Stack Web Developer position at Chandler.
Working from home has provided flexibility and allowed me to balance my professional and personal life effectively. I’ve adapted to remote work challenges and continue to thrive in this environment. Do you remember my Day 7 blog: 7 Benefits of Work-From-Home, and its 7 Drawbacks?
Family Life

• Just got married!: I am happily married to Mitos since February 14, 2024. After living with each other for 6 years, and being in a relationship for a total of 13 years, I finally man up and tied the knot with her – which I should have done many years ago.
• Family: Do you remember my bouncing baby daughter Felicity? She’s now 7 years old, and we have a new blessing in the family – Stephanie, born last April. Now I can say that I have 3 chicks! What an achievement!
• Daily Life: We often go to the mall for groceries and family “gala”, and I’m committed to being present and supportive of my wife and daughters by giving my time. And since I’m a work-from-home professional, I can find time for blogging, and maybe vlogging ^_^
• Vlogging: Speaking of Vlogging, it also daunts me to press the record button and finally upload my first video, but to complete my update, here is the sauce:
Goals and Aspirations
• Personal Goals: I want to lose weight (I gain weight, a ton of it ^_^). Overcoming my procrastination – my everlasting enemy, learn more by reading more books and actually finishing it.
• Professional Goals: I still dream of building my own startup, but as of the moment, I want to take on more projects, take on more leadership roles if handed one, and stay updated with the latest tech trends (AI, ring a bell?). I’m also exploring opportunities for overseas work to gain new experiences and perspectives, looking for a greener pasture – Aust – oops!.
• Blogging Goals: I will resume my 1K Blog Marathon from Day 68, aiming to provide fresh and engaging content. I wanted to provide value, and make a dent in the universe, as Steve Jobs said.
Thank you for dropping by and being interested in my journey. And if you’re reading this, always remember that failure is not fatal. And by failing, you eliminate the wrong path to your success.
Stay tuned for Day 68 and beyond!
And as always, stay hungry!
“ Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
Winston Churchill.
