1K Blog Marathon: Day 2
You have already guessed what this blog is all about – Programming.
And what I love about programming is that you can expand your imagination and logic while exercising your mind. It’s an exercise for your brain, like a dumbbell for your hippocampus, or weights for your medulla oblongata.
You see, I already stated my first reason.
1. Programming can sharpen your mind.
Our minds degrade as time went on, and we needed to continuously use it to activate the unused brain cells. Like muscle, we need to “lift” in order to get fit. We are getting good at something when we always do it. That’s why I will blog for a thousand day! ^_^
2. Programming is fulfilling.
Learning how to program is an upward curve – you wouldn’t grasp it easily without thorough understanding and practice. But because of its difficulty, it is fulfilling when you built that simple calculator in Java, or when you find the missing semicolon in your Tic-Tac-Toe game in C++. It’s like finding a needle in the haystack!
haystack.find(needle)
3. Programming jobs never gets old.
Especially in our situations nowadays, this Covid-19 pandemic is radically changing the face of occupational opportunities in the world. Brick and mortar businesses will thrive, but with the assistance of e-commerce, thus it needs a programmer. While semi-automated processes of other businesses will become fully-automated and unmanned, thanks to programmers again. Did I tell you that you can code-from-home?
4. You can build the Next Big Thing in IT.
Maybe develop a new Operating System and name it Sweetened Door Lime? Create a system that predicts the future based on the past? Or even just built an App for your kid to learn 6,500 languages? Who knows you might be the next Bill, Woz, Mark and Jeff?
5. The world needs a programmer.
In many ways that I don’t know yet, but I know that programmers are making a dent in the universe, with every line of code that a programmer wrote, there is a byte of his life encoded, and every single bug fixed, bringing him closer to a better world of Technology.
So that’s it, you got the 5 reasons why you should be programming now from your curbside coder! Come back tomorrow and let’s talk again about anything under the technology!
“And that’s one blog, stay hungry!”
A snippet for your code:
“Everybody in this country should learn how to program a computer… because it teaches you how to think.”
