How Am I Keeping Up With My 1K Blog Marathon?

1K Blog Marathon: Day 31

Ok, so I’m on my 31st day of blogging, and even though I experience writers block from now and then, I can say that I am getting used to it and I’m getting my rhythm.

Diving into blogging is like jumping on a plane wearing a parachute, but you don’t know how a parachute works, you can’t find the ripcord to open the parachute, and the plane is not flying, and you’re landing on the pavement face-first. I wish I listen to the flight attendant.

But as the days pass by, I learned new things about blogging. I read a lot of blogs, blogs related to my niche, blogs on another niche, articles about a distant niche – hoping to kick some diamonds as I pass by.

I can’t believe I’m here blabbering on my blog about how I’m keeping up, but since you’re here, please lend me 5 minutes of your life and take a look at how I’m doing it!

1. Honestly, I don’t know how!

Yes. Honestly. I just key in some titles, type in some words, then suddenly a shining shimmering splendid light appears – and my fingers starts to press the keyboard! When I was in high school, our terror teacher tasks us every week to write an essay on 2 papers, front and back page, and try to squeeze all protein from our brains. I guess that hardships pays off, especially now!

2. I use MS Word!

It’s a no brainer. My one time mistake of typing directly into WordPress and loose an entire article is so frustrating, mind opening and a lesson learned. Also, I like the idea of not only checking for correct spelling, but also suggesting about wrong grammar.

3. Canva is my friend!

I don’t use the premium okay! I just browse for free image, add a heading, save and download it and voila! Another masterpiece from Sir Christian F.!

4. Search, search, search!

I literally give Google a back-rub. I scoured every SERP about my topic. I double check any idea that pops into my pimples – I mean my mind!

5. Most of the time, I do it within 2 to 3 hours!

Just like now! I’ve started at 9:30 PM GMT +8, rushing and praying, expecting to finish it before 12! I don’t know where I harnessed my power in creating a blog so fast, maybe because of Parkinson’s Law, where work extends to the time it is allowed. If I give myself a whole 24 hour to do this blog, I can take my time doing it. But if I do it for 2 hours, my brain goes into a chaotic state and improves my thinking for about 371%.

6. Most of the time, my wife is angry at me ^_^

Especially when I haven’t yet take a bath! But she also rejoice when someone likes my blog! So if you don’t mind, can you make my wife happy? I mean, right now? It’s a star button below my post! ^_^

7. I have ready-made titles, but didn’t use it!

Yes, I have many Word Docs in my desktop with possible blog titles, but no article body inside. I will use it, but maybe not for now – I’m in a rush!

8. I think humor in technology is my forte!

Humor in Technology – this is where I get most of the likes (my personal best is 9 likes a day! Please don’t laugh). Time check, 11:37 PM! I’m not yet creating my featured image in Canva!

9. I’m inspired by Nuseir Yassin!

Remember Nas who created a thousand vlog post by creating active and brain-blasting contents every single day while traveling! He literally inspired me to start this 1K Blog Marathon! I always watch his vlogs! By the way, he is now creating more than a minute video.

10. I just stare at a blank page and happily watches the cursor blinks!

As time passes by, I’m enjoying the cursor in my screen, waiting to spit some words of wisdumb. And if I stare at the blinking cursor, it doesn’t mean I’m not doing anything – I’m contacting my 7th self from a parallel universe!
